About Heal From Mold
Heal From Mold is an independent publication about mold exposure — finding the moisture behind it, cleaning it up safely, and working out which claims about it are worth trusting. It exists because the honest information on this subject is scattered between government documents nobody reads and marketing copy nobody should.
How we work
We say where a claim comes from
Guidance on this site is written against published sources — EPA, CDC and NIEHS material, peer-reviewed work, and manufacturer specifications. Where those sources disagree, we say that they disagree rather than picking the tidier answer.
We separate what is settled from what is contested
Mold has a large contested middle: testing methods, thresholds, and what symptoms can fairly be attributed to exposure. Where the evidence is genuinely unsettled, the article says so and explains the disagreement instead of resolving it for you.
Recommendations are not for sale
This site earns affiliate commission on some links, and that never determines what gets recommended. Where the honest answer is that you do not need to buy anything, that is the answer we publish.
This is education, not medical advice
Nothing here is a diagnosis or a treatment plan. Health decisions belong with a qualified clinician who knows your history, and remediation decisions belong with licensed professionals who have seen the building.
How this site is funded
Reader-supported: some links earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you, and the handbook is a paid product. The affiliate disclosure sets out exactly how that works.
